Here are some of my favorite photos from the past week. They are mostly just from walks around the neighborhood and a little solo walk around the Ventura Harbor Village.
I've been able to explore a little bit of the Ventura Harbor these last few weeks and I enjoy seeing all the sailboats as well as the fishing boats that dock up near the shops. The whole life of the sailor I know so little about. It makes me wonder about spending some time out on the seas, though. I recall a blog I used to follow, bobbieroundstheworld.tumblr.com, and I remember thinking that must be quite the adventure. I would think that once you are out at sea and working, it's probably pretty stressful too. But still, with some friends and loved ones aboard, it would be quite memorable. Instead of flying to Hawaii, why not sail? I'd say you've earned that vacation.
Anyway, I also re-watched the documentary The Salt of the Earth. That's the 2014 documentary on the photographer Sebastião Salgado. Goodness, I need to try harder. If you have the time, I highly suggest a viewing.
