Let Me Tell You About My Day

Let me tell you about my day. Actually, nevermind, we all have our days and not everyone needs to know about everything about them. We see enough of that in Facebook and Instagram. I don’t think I have the desire to make someone read about my relatively normal Friday of work and errands.

Instead, I’ll just say that I hope you have spent your day doing something that made you feel productive and that felt worth your time. I myself got some some cleaning done around the apartment and that felt good to me. Cleaning always feels good to me. Except dishes. I don’t really enjoy doing dishes. Or laundry. I don’t like that either. But if it’s just cleaning the apartment or rearranging some furniture, I feel pretty good about that.

Tomorrow, I plan on going on a short run, and if I get that taken care of, I feel like I’ll be pretty happy with my day. I’d like to re-introduce running to my daily routine. It’s been a while since I did that, but well, my body just is not what it used to be, and I’m starting to see and feel the downsides of lack of exercise. Perhaps sometime after the run, I’ll do a little bit of writing if I feel inspired. I’m sort of hoping the run will give me some time to clear my head and get some thoughts in order.

As long as I am able to involve some reading, writing, exercise and family time into my day, I feel like I can be pretty satisfied with that.
